“Over the centuries, explorers, caravans and pilgrims have used the night sky to navigate across the region,” says John Pagano, CEO of The Red Sea Development Company, who is seeking THE Dark Sky certification for the luxury tourism destination.“Dark Sky accreditation will allow our visitors to enjoy the same stunning nighttime panoramas that guided and inspired those historical travelers.”
Accompanied by an Astronomy specialist tour guide, you will learn about the formation of the galaxies, the origin of the stars and how to know which planet is which with your bare eyes.
There will be a telescope to observe planets and astronomical objects such as stars, planets, moons, comets and galaxies.
DETAILED SCHEDULE :
- Pick up from meeting point at 6:30 pm
- Reaching destination at 7:30 pm
- Explanation and start stargazing at 8:30 pm
- Serving coffee and tea at 9:05 pm
- Dinner at 9:30 pm
- Heading back to Riyadh at 10:30 pm
